Regional exchange on the energy transition at BELECTRIC

At its headquarters in Kolitzheim, the solar company BELECTRIC hosted a Meet & Greet with players and representatives of the handball club Wölfe Würzburg as well as the club’s partners. The companies present exchanged views on cooperation opportunities in the regional energy transition.

On October 9th, 2023, the Franconian solar company BELECTRIC met with representatives of the handball club Wölfe Würzburg and the club’s partners at its headquarters in Kolitzheim near Schweinfurt to discuss the regional energy transition. After a joint tour of a solar farm constructed by BELECTRIC, the attendees discussed how they could cooperate to make the Main-Franconia region a little more sustainable. One of the topics was the leasing of areas for solar power plants and its positive influence on local biodiversity.

Roland Sauer, Managing Director of Wölfe Würzburg, comments: “From the point of view of all participants, it was a successful event. The management of BELECTRIC impressively presented their concept for climate and environmentally friendly energy projects. In many individual discussions, the topic of sustainability as well as BELECTRIC's vision were discussed in greater depth. Wölfe Würzburg are proud to carry this vision to the outside world and to support it through their network!”

In addition to BELECTRIC employees from various departments and the Wölfe Würzburg, representatives from seven regional companies were present. Towards the end of the event, the attendees were happy about a celebrity visit: the players from the third-division handball team stopped by for a Meet & Greet, took photos with the participants and signed autographs.

Thorsten Blanke, Managing Director of BELECTRIC, was pleased about the visit: “We support the Wölfe Würzburg because we are rooted in this region. It is important to us. Together, we discuss the energy transition and evaluate whether there can be specific projects to advance our home region.”
